Ciara opened up the 2024 ESPY Awards with a performance of a medley of her greatest hits. The 2024 ESPYS, which aired live from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, was hosted by Serena Williams. Ciara started her set with her 2004 hit single, “Goodies” followed by “1, 2 Step,” a song she collaborated on with Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer Missy Elliott. She closed her set with her electric hit “Level Up.” “Level Up” was RIAA recently certified double platinum.
“I know a lot of congratulations are in order tonight, but I think I’ll start by congratulating Russell Wilson, because, dang!” Williams said of the NFL quarterback, with whom Ciara married in 2016. The Espys marks the achievements from the greatest in all areas of sports.
Ciara is currently on the Out of This World Tour with Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes and special guest Timbaland, playing the Crypto.com Arena right after her Espy performance.
The 20th anniversary of “Goodies” is this year and to celebrate, the album will be released on vinyl and digitally on September 28. The album will include two rare tracks (“Crazy” and “Represent Me”) and a new dance mix of “Goodies” by Dipha Barus.
