TVMusic Network remembers Tito Jackson. This hurts. Jackson passed away on Sunday, September 15 in what was believed to be a heart attack. The Jackson 5 was my very first concert as a child and they continue to be a part of my music life. I have followed the careers of the entire family. Tito was so nice, cool and down to earth. He also was a very talented guitar player. The Jacksons just performed at The Fools in Love Festival here in Los Angeles. Thoughts and prayers to The Jackson family especially their mom Katherine who has to bury another child.  Rest Well Toriano Adarryl Jackson. Thanks for the music and the memories. If it wasn’t for you, the whole Jackson Family music dynasty wouldn’t have exist, you grabbed that guitar, broke that string and the vision was born.

In a 2019 interview with Vlad TV, Tito told the story of how he learned to play guitar. He was learning how to play using his father’s guitar without his knowledge. “One day I broke the string and I didn’t know what to do about it. I didn’t know how to change the string.” He came home and saw the string broke and was really upset about it.”

After showing his father what he learned to do so far on the instrument, Joe gave Tito the guitar and told him to learn every song on the radio. Soon after, Jackson 5, formerly known as the Jackson Brothers, was born.
