‘The Masked Singer’: Leaf Sheep unmasked! Find out which celebrity went home!

The Masked Singer

The Masked Singer” is ready for Season 12 with all new characters singing for “The Masked Singer” trophy when the season premieres on Wednesday, September 25 on FOX. Five new celebrities will be featured in the episode hosted by Nick Cannon with panelists Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke and Rita Ora.

For opening night the first five contestants in Group A performed, after an introduction from Rita Ora who sang “Who Can It Be Now” to open the show. New this season the 15 contestants there are 14 Emmy nominations and 5 know Taylor Swift. Each contestant will have a “Masked Singer” alum connected to them.

First up was Buffalo who sang “I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight.” When one performed but it turned out to be a group of three total people. Nick Lachey was the Masked alum. Some of the guesses were Boys II Men, B2K, Earth Wind & Fire, Jonas Brothers and 98 Degrees. None of those guesses worked for me.

Next up was Woodpecker whose alum was Jenifer Lewis. She sang “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus.
For her clues, there was sports, a CEO and a mogul. Some of the guesses were Willow, Cardi B., Halle Bailey, Keke Palmer and JoJo Siwa. Masked Twitter guesses Marsai Martin. The guess fits because she and Jenifer were both on “black-ish.”

Leaf Sheep was the next contestant (another gorgeous costume). Leaf Sheep’s alum contestant was DeMarcus Ware — so it was a natural guess that the person was an athlete, a football quarterback.
He sang “I like it, I Love it” by Tim McGraw. Some of the guesses were Tom Brady, Troy Aikman

Showbird was up next with Joel McHale as their alum. Clues were Tom Boy, Nerd, a movie star, and a gavel. She sang “Just Fine” by Mary J. Blige. Some of the guesses were Jennifer Hudson, Taraji P. Henson and Kerry Washington. My guess is Yvette Nicole Brown.

Next up was Ship. Ship is my favorite costume ever since the show began.

Ship’s alum was country singer Jewel. She sang “Pompei” by Bastille. Some of the clues were a plane with a clock on it and a cowboy hat. She also said she appeared on a TV show with Jewel. Some of the guesses were Cyndi Lauper, Joan Osbourne, Enya and Sarah McLauchlan.

Leaf Sheep was the contestant with the lowest votes so that meant he had to be unmasked. Some of the guesses again were Troy Aikman, Tom Brady and Billy Bob Thorton. Leaf Sheep turned out to be NFL legend John Elway, who was the quarterback for the Denver Broncos.

The Masked Singer” returns next week for Footloose Night.
