It was “Barbie Night” on “The Masked Singer” as “Group B” returned to the stage to honor iconic! Panelists Robin Thicke and Rita Ora opened the show with a performance of “Rock You Like a Hurricane” by The Scorpions while Jenny McCarthy Walhburg and Ken Jeoung fought it out in the ring. Host Nick Cannon wore classic pink to honor the toy while panelist Ken Jeoung sang a rendition of “I’m Just Ken.”
Chess Piece (another award-worthy costume) sang “I’m Every Woman” by Chaka Khan; Wasp sang “Sky Scraper” by Demi Lovato; Goo sang “Miss Independent” by Ne-Yo; Bluebell sang “Dance the Night Away” by Dua Lipa, one of the hit songs from last year’s “Barbie” movie.
At the end of the night, Chess Piece was sent home. Chess Piece turned out to be Laverne Cox. Cox is a reporter for E News, was an actress on Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black” and was issued with her own Barbie doll.
Next week is a double elimination when “The Masked Singer” 60’s night with The Beach Boys opening with “Fun, Fun, Fun” when the show airs on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
