With many America’s expected to celebrate a long 4th of July weekend as the holiday falls on a Saturday this year, the networks have planned the following programming for the afternoon of Friday, July 3rd.
Days of our Lives will be pre-empted for NBC Sports coverage of Wimbledon on Thursday and Friday, July 2nd and 3rd. The network carries live coverage of the event every year.
The ABC network will air repeat episodes of all of their soap operas on July 3rd:

All My Children (original airdate 5/15/09): Adam’s enemies want him to pay for his sins; Angie and Jake work to save Ian’s life; and Annie makes her move. SOAPNet and ABC have hinted that during the repeat airing of the episode, viewers should look for new clues to the Chandler Murder Mystery whodunit as there way be clues that weren’t seen the first time around.
General Hospital (original airdate 5/18/09): Carly gets the news she’s been praying for; Ethan drops a bomb on Lulu; and Rebecca makes a deal with Alexis.
One Life to Live (original airdate 3/18/09): Nora and Marty swap insults as their tempers flare; Todd makes plans to fight for his kids; and Bo and Rex share sob stories over their sons medical issues.
The CBS network will air all new episodes on Friday July 3 of Young & The Restless, As The world Turns, Guiding Light, and The Bold & The Beautiful.
Original episodes of all your favorite soaps will resume to regular programming on Monday July 6.
