Guiding Light ceased production on CBS’ 50 year old soap this week and will air it’s last episode in September. A remake of Let’s Make A Deal will replace the show in CBS’ daytime line up.
This week ABC announced that it is moving production of its legacy drama, All My Children to Los Angeles early next year. The show, which first began airing in 1970, has been produced in New York for over 39 years. Sister soap, One Life To Live will move into the larger space that All My Children currently shares with The View once the show vacates. Both moves are said to be for budgetary reasons.
