The popular 90s drama starring Heather Locklear is back with fresh new faces and some blasts from the past. The CW is putting the revamped series on Tuesday nights beginning September 8th. Executive Producer Todd Slavkin shares. “It’s definitely still the most scandalous address in West Hollywood. We were huge fans of the original, and when we set out to do our version of Melrose Place, we wanted to pay tribute to the old show, but really create our own show, with our own characters.”
New faces include Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Katie Cassidy, Shaun Sipos and Colin Eggelsfield (All My Children). Signing on to the most famous address of the 90s once again are original series regulars Thomas Calabro (Michael), Laura Leighton (Sydney), Josie Bisset (Jane) and Daphne Zuniga (Jo).
“Daphne Zuniga is coming up in a terrific role we are thrilled about”, said Slavkin. “Jo Reynolds will be back with a vengence!”
When asked about the originals most famous resident, Amanda Woodward, played by Heather Locklear, Slavkin responded, “The door is always open for Heather Locklear to return. We’re huge fans of hers and have a great way for her to come into the show. So the door is always open. ”
Melrose Place airs Tuesdays at 9pm on the CW.
