The Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles kicks off it’s PaleyAfterDark series.
The first guest of the season will be Oscar winner Jeff Bridges. In a special premiering on PBS entitled “Jeff Bridges: The Dude Abides” on Saturday, January 8 2011.
The program looks window into the life of the actor whose easygoing style has endeared him to audiences for almost forty years. The ninety-minute film, airs nationally Wednesday, January 12 at 8:00 pm ET on PBS (check local listings.)
Bridges is experiencing a career resurgence in the last few years. Always working, the actor had one of the best years of his life. Last year, the actor won the Best Actor Academy Award for his role as Bad Blake in “Crazy Heart.”
The release of the program coincides with his return to the screen in “Tron Legacy”—reprising his role as Kevin Flynn from “Tron.”
The talent actor also stars as Rooster Cogburn in the remake of True Grit, directed by the Coen Brothers. Bridges and the Coens reunited for the movie after working together on the cult film “The Big Lebowski.”
