PBS will remember legendary chef Julia Child on what would have been her 100th birthday with a #Cook for Julia social media campaign. Beginning August 5th and concluding on August 15, which would have been the famous chef’s 100th birthday, the network will honor her legacy through a multi-platform initiative spanning on-air, online, and social media engagement.
Fans of Julia’s old and new, are encouraged to prepare a Julia recipe and share their experiences through pictures, blog posts and on Twitter, Facebook and PBS Food.
Fans can also rediscover more on the legendary chef by visiting all of PBS’s Julia Child content, including “In Julia’s Kitchen with Master Chefs,” “Cooking with Master Chefs,” “The French Chef Classics,” “Baking with Julia” and “Cooking in Concert.”
A Julia Child marathon of her long running cooking program will run from August 18 through August 19 on Choice TV.
