'Dallas on TNT': Ewing family to say good bye to JR

“Dallas,” the TNT reboot of the 80s classic series is preparing to say good bye to legendary character J.R. Ewing when the show returns next season, TVLine reports. The show will officially say good bye the character following Larry Hagman’s death from cancer last month. The episode will air on March 11. Hagman had already filmed Six out of Season 2’s fifteen episodes and several episodes will have to be rewritten to address his character’s death.

Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, who starred with Hagman on the original series, reprised their roles on the reboot series as well.

TNT’s “Dallas” returns with all new episodes beginning January 28th at 9pm EST.
