“All My Children” and “One Life To Live” producer Prospect Park has settled the on going labor dispute with IATSE Locals 52, 161, 600, 700, 764, 798 and USA829,Deadline reports. The dispute caused an early hiatus on production of new episodes of the relaunched soaps last month.
As a plan to resume production of the new soaps, Prospect Park had considered moving production of the two shows, based in Stamford, Conn., to another state,moving away from its Connecticut based production studio. The settlement allows the shows to remain in their Stamford home and to resume production on August 12th. The production delay was also announced to support new writing teams for both shows and for major storyline rewrites ahead of the August taping schedule.
New York Production Locals, Local 600 rep David Blake said in a statement, “We are pleased that that the parties were able to successfully address their concerns in a mutually beneficial way, which will enable these innovative shows to continue to be produced with our talented crews.”
“We thank the entire IATSE organization for their continued support in bringing these shows to fans,” Prospect Park’s Jeff Kwatinetz said in a statment. “We especially appreciate the efforts of Chaim Kantor and John Ford and our entire crew for helping us to move forward as a unified team.”
Brand new episodes of “All My Children” stream Mondays and Wednesdays. New episodes of “One Life to Live” stream Tuesday and Thursdays. Check out theonlinenetwork.com, Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes for more info. “More AMC and OLTL” will stream on Fridays.
