Happy Birthday B.B. King – check out all-star artists perfom ‘The Thrill is Gone’ from sold out Grammy Foundation Event

To celebrate what would have been musician B.B. King’s 91st birthday, Grammy winners Keb’ Mo’, Derek Trucks, Jimmie Vaughan, Slash, Susan Tedeschi, Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Quinn Sullivan, Joe Louis Walker and singer/songwriter ZZ Ward are featured in a special video performing “The Thrill Is Gone.”

The all-stars got together to Grammy Musuem partnered to celebrate the life and legacy of B.B. King with “Icon: The Life And Legacy Of B.B. King,” a live tribute concert that was sponsored in part by Gibson Memphis and the Gibson Foundation, and by Brian and Adria Sheth at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sept. 1.

Proceeds raised from “Icon: The Life And Legacy Of B.B. King” support the initiatives of the Grammy Foundation and Grammy Museum, two charitable organizations of The Recording Academy.

Also in the video is the show’s music director Jimmy Vivino of the “Conan” show joined by the Basic Cable Band, who served as the house band for the evening.
