CBS today marked a special occasion where it celebrated 30 years as the No. 1 daytime network. Highlighting the year were largest-ever audiences for “TheTalk” and “Let’s Make A Deal”, according to Nielsen most current ratings released today for the full 2015-16 television year.
“This winning streak is an incredible source of pride for all of us at CBS,” said Angelica McDaniel, Executive Vice President, Daytime Programs, CBS Entertainment. “It speaks to three decades of great storytelling from the best creative artists in front of and behind the camera, and the amazing support from a very passionate and loyal fan base.”
The City of Los Angeles declared September 20th “CBS Daytime Day” to celebrate in a ceremony attended by CBS daytime stars Melody Thomas Scott and Kristoff St. John of “The Young and the Restless”, Don Diamont and Heather Tom of “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Price Is Right” host Drew Carey.
