Director Tim Burton was honored with a hand and fooprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theater.
It’s part of a longstanding Hollywood tradition, where Hollywood’s biggest names place their hands and footprints into cement that will be displayed in the forecourt of the theater.
Burton has premiered seven of his movies at the theater. At the ceremony, he was introduced by longtime friend Winona Ryder, who has starred in several of his popular works including “Beetlejuice” and “Edward Scissorhands.”
Burton’s first movie was 1989’s “Beetlejuice,” which starred Michael Keaton. His latest movie, which starred Michael Keaton as the titular character alongside Ryder.
Burton has went on to director a number of Hollywood blockbusters including “Batman,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Ed Wood,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and more.
His latest movie, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” is in theaters now.
