Lee Daniels, producer of such Oscar-winning films as “Monster’s Ball’ and “Precious,” and the FOX mega-hit “Empire” received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Gabourey Sidibe, Queen Latifah and Jussie Smollet were among the stars who came out to support Daniels’ achievements.
Actress Queen Latifah, who spoke at the ceremony is set to star in Daniel’s newest project “Star” premiering later this month. The show centers around three young women who form a musical group in Atlanta.
“Empire” airs Wednesdays on FOX.
