MTV Movie & TV Awards 2017: nominees announced

MTV Movie and TV Awards

After 25 years of Golden Popcorn statues being handed out for your favorite movies, the MTV Movie Awards is getting and overhaul. The show will now recognize TV shows and is changing its name to the MTV Movie & TV Awards. 

The breakout movie “Get Out,” leads this year’s nominees with a total of six nods. 

Adam Devine will host the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards on May 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
