Golden Globe Awards 2018: Nicole Kidman wins Best Actress in a TV Movie or Limited series

Nicole Kidman took home the first Golden Globe Award tonight for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Limited Series for her role in HBO’s “Big Little Lies.”

Kidman took the stage and thanked her co-stars Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Zoe Kravitz, calling her win a celebration of he on stage, accepting the first award for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Limited series, raised her Golden Globe to the “power of women,” nodding to her female co-stars on HBO’s “Big Little Lies.”

Kidman thanked her mother who was a women’s activist when Kidman was growing up. 

“My momma was an advocate for the women’s movement when I was growing up, ” Kidman said. …”And because of her, I’m standing here. My achievements are her achievements.”

Kidman, who was a producer on the series, also thanked her husband, Keith Urban, for his love.
