Score one for Genoa City! CBS’s Emmy-winning drama series, “The Young and the Restless” receieved a record high in ratings for the week ending Janaury 19. The soap attracted 4.84 million viewers which marks its largest weekly audience in a year.
During that week, Cane worked to get back with Lily, Hilary considered having a baby, Ashley took on more than she could handle, Mariah discovered that Tessa stole her lyrics to write a song and Victor found out the hard way that J.T. and Victoria were back together.
The show recently celebrated 29 consecutive years as daytime’s #1 drama. The daytime series, currently in its 44th season, first became the top soap during the week of December 26, 1988.
