Dennis Edwards, the former lead singer for The Temptations has died last week in Chicago. He was 74 and just shy of his 75th birthday.
As part of the iconic Motown group, Edwards sang lead on such memorable hits as “Cloud Nine,” “Papa was a Rollin’ Stone” and “I Can’t Get Next to You.”
After Edwards left the group, he dominated the music charts in 1984 with his single “Don’t Look Any Further” featuring Siedah Garrett. The song reached No. 2 on Billboard’s R&B chart.
