‘General Hospital’s’ Vinessa Antoine cast in new Primetime role, Jordan to be recast

Vinessa Antoine, who plays Jordan Ashford on ABC’s “General Hospital” is leaving the show.  The actress has been cast in the lead role in the upcoming Canadian drama “Diggstown.” Antoine’s casting is historic as she becomes the first Black Canadian actress to lead a primetime drama.

Antoine took to Twitter and Instagram to address her casting and well as her “GH” status.

In “Diggstown” Antoine will play Marcie Diggs, a top corporate lawyer who decides to dedicate herself to a legal aid office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

The role of Jordan will be recast.
