Daniel Goddard, who played Cane, has been let go from the “The Young and the Restless.” Goddard shared the news on his social media pages earlier today.
Goddard started on the show 13 years ago as Cane Ashby. Ashby first came onto the scene as a young bartender looking for his family only to find out that he was Jill Abbott’s son. He was also a part of the popular Cane and Lily coupling.
As expected, fans reacted quick to the news, posting well-wishes and expressing their anger at Goddard’s dismissal. “The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays on CBS.
It’s with a heavy ❤️ that I share the news that I will no longer be part of the cast of the Young & the Restless. I’m as shocked & gutted as u r. I’m forever grateful for my 13yrs in the Y&R family but sadly it seems that without Neil & Lily… there just is no Cane. 💔 #yr pic.twitter.com/YwA0mmIC6u
