The 2020 MusiCares Person of the Year Aerosmith performed live at the tribute concert in their honor. Russell Brand hosted the event. Performing at the event included many of the biggest names in music performing the music of the band. Melissa Etheridge, Nuno Bettencourt, Jessie J, Kesha, Cheap Trick, Gary Clark Jr., Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp Gavin Degraw, Foo Fighters, Luis Fonsi, Sammy Hagar, H.E.R., Emily King, John Legend, Ashley McBryde, LeAnn Rimes, and Yola to name a few.
Other celebrities attending the event included including Rick Springfield, Kevin Cronin of Reo Speedwagon, Richie Sambora, Phil X of Bon Jovi, Jerry Cantrell, John Stamos, Eddie Cibrian, Channing Tatum, Jimmy Jam Harris, Jason Mraz and Johnny Gill to name a few. 
Aerosmith closed out the show by accepting the honor on stage then performed a four-song set, They opened with “Big Ten Inch Record”, “Dream On” joined by H.E.R, “Sweet Emotion” and “Same Old Song and Dance”, where the band was joined by Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp.
