The Weeknd opened the VMA Awards with an exciting perofrmance of his hit single “Blinding Lights.” He performed with the New York skyline as the backdrop complete with fireworks.
Host Keke Palmer dedicated the show to “Black Panther” actor Chadwick Boseman who passed away last week after a battle with colon cancer.
