As the pandemic continues to affect the entertainment, Paramount is forced to change the schedule of its big theatrical releases. Tom Cruise’s “Mission Impossible 7,” originally scheduled for release in July, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on November 19, 2021. The film will be one of the titles that will be made available to stream on Paramount+ 45 days after it runs in theatres.
The announcement was made during ViacomCBS’ investor day which took place earlier this week, with the presentation being put together to create some hype around Paramount+.
“Mission Possible 7” is an upcoming American action spy film starring Tom Cruise, who reprises his role as Ethan Hunt, and written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
Also getting the 45-day treatment will be the music anticipated sequel for “A Quiet Place,” starring Emily Blunt. The movie will be released on September 17. Following the events at home, the Abbott family now face the terrors of the outside world. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats lurking beyond the sand path.
“A Quiet Place Part II” is once again written and directed by John Krasinski and stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe, reprising their roles from the first film. Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou have also joined the cast, with Krasinski reprising his role from the first movie in newly filmed flashback sequences.
