Marcus Coloma who played Nikolas Cassadine on ABC’s “General Hospital” is out. According to a report from Daytime Confidential, Coloma was let go from the series. The actor, who joined the show in 2019, will last air at the end of January 2023.
The show later confirmed the news with a statement that read, “The show can confirm that Marcus Coloma will no longer be playing the role of Nikolas Cassadine. His last airdate will be at the end of January.”
Nikolas Cassadine has a lot going on in Port Charles these days. He currently has the mother of his child, Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl), locked away in his Wyndemere castle with the help of ex and long-time friend Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). In an effort to cover their tracks, Nik and Liz are pretending that they are expecting a baby together. If that’s not enough, he’s in the process of divorcing his wife Ava (Maura West) all while trying to repair his relationship with his estranged son, Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) who happens to be Esme’s ex-boyfriend.
“General Hospital” airs weekdays on ABC.
