Pat Sajak, the longtime host of “Wheel of Fortune” has announced his retirement. The Emmy-winning host shared the news on Twitter.
“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” Sajak said. “It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)”
Sajak has hosted the super popular syndicated game show since 1981 with co-host Vanna White. The show remains one of the most popular shows across the country. Sajak has won three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Game Show Host for the show. He and White also host “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” on Primetime on ABC.
