“Say A Little Prayer,” the acting debut of multi-platinum artist Luis Fonsi has entered into a new partnership between the film’s production company, Migrant Filmworks, helmed by Patrick Perez Vidauri and Cristina Nava, producer Nancy De Los Santos and New Cadence Productions, whose principals are global business executive Sol Trujillo and veteran producer Jeff Valdez. They are also joined by actor Edward James Olmos as an EP. NCP will executive produce and guide the film through worldwide marketing and distribution. This is the first deal to come out of LALIFF’s inaugural marketplace.
The rom-com written by Nancy De Los Santos, directed by Patrick Perez Vidauri, and produced by Cristina Nava, performed to two sold-out audiences on the big screen at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF).

Fonsi, whose hit “Despacito” has been viewed 8.5 billion times on YouTube and is currently preparing a global tour, said, “Say A Little Prayer is a story about love, wanting it, losing it and finding it when you least expect it. I’m proud to be a part of this funny, relatable and heartwarming movie as one of the lead actors, producer and songwriter.”
“Say A Little Prayer” follows the journey of three friends, Vannessa Vásquez (Divorce Bait), Jackie Cruz (Orange Is The New Black) and Vivian Lamolli (East Los High), who recite an ancient prayer in search of true love. They find themselves matched with the wrong partners, leading to hilarious and heartwarming moments that resonated with the sold-out crowds at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
The central message of the film revolves around the strength of friendships between women, emphasizing that no matter what challenges life throws their way, they always find solace and support in their friends,” said producer Cristina Nava.
Sol Trujillo commented, “This is a film for the new mainstream audience, and it reflects the reality of 21st century America. Valdez added, “NCP truly understands the market opportunity for this film. We are so honored to come on board this very special project.”
