“American Idol” is back for Season 23 (Season eight on ABC), The show is hosted by Ryan Seacrest and featuring judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and new judge, Carrie Underwood. This season marks 20 years since Carrie Underwood won Season 4 of the show and launched her successful multi-Grammy award-winning career.
