‘The Simpsons’, ‘Bob’s Burgers’, ‘Family Guy’, and ‘American Dad!’ Renewed For 4 Seasons By FOX

FOX has renewed its Animation Domination lineup “The Simpsons,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Family Guy,” and announced the return of “American Dad!” which has been renewed as well. All four shows landed a four-year renewal taking the shows to the 2028-2029 television season.

The three fan-favorite series — all produced by 20th Television Animation, a part of Disney Television Studios — have each received four additional seasons, continuing their impressive runs on FOX through the 2028-29 broadcast cycle. The renewals encompass the 16th through 19th Seasons of “Bob’s Burgers,” the 24th through 27th Seasons of “Family Guy” and the record-setting 37th through 40th Seasons of “The Simpsons,” extending its standing as the longest-running scripted primetime series in television history.

Bob’s Burgers” returns for its 15th season. The series centers on the working-class Belcher family — parents Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) and Linda (John Roberts) and their three children, Tina (Dan Mintz), Gene (Eugene Mirman), and Louise (Kristen Schaal) — who run a seaside New Jersey hamburger restaurant and their adventures interacting with the eccentric members of their community. This season, Bob must face his fears and join Louise in a father-daughter boogie boarding competition; Tina becomes the columnist for the anonymous “Ask an Eighth Grader” advice column; and when the Belchers’ landlord, Mr. Fischoeder, offers them two months free rent in exchange for catering an important reception at his house, the family must do everything they can to ensure the event goes perfectly.

In the bonus fright-fest, “Treehouse of Horror Presents: Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes,” a tattooed man at a mysterious night circus transports Lisa into three strange stories from the innocent 1950s, the chilling retro-present, and a brutalist future where prestige TV rules the world.

Entering its 22nd season, “Family Guy” continues to entertain its die-hard fan base with razor-sharp humor, spot-on parodies, spectacular animation and orchestra-backed original music. Since its debut in 1999, the series has reached cult status among fans, and its breakout star, a talking baby, has become one of the greatest TV characters of all time.

Season 22 will continue to provide a humorous take on current events and will see Peter getting a job at the Stop n’ Shop and taking a vacation to Florida with Lois. Additionally, Stewie and Brian help each other get over their mutual fear of showers and compete for sales against Bruce at the flea market. Also this season, Meg agrees to be Bruce and Jeffery’s surrogate and Lois joins Chris’s school as a substitute teacher.

American Dad!,” created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman, debuted on FOX in 2005 and was a part of the network’s animation lineup through 2014. The animated comedy will return to the network for Seasons 20 through 23.
