This Veteran’s Day Weekend, the NFL along with the upcoming movie “Red Tails,” will salute the Tuskegee Airmen, the first unit of African American military pilots who flew in World War II, at NFL games around the country. The event will mark the 70th anniversary of their service. Their story is the basis for the 2012 motion picture “Red Tails.”
NFL organizations the Dallas Cowboys, the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Jets will host Veterans Day Weekend games that salute the Tuskegee Airmen, including sideline interviews with some of the original veteran World War II pilots, and on-field tributes to these veterans.
The Tuskegee Airmen were an all-black combat unit created at the Tuskegee Institute in 1941 and fought in World War II.
Stars from the upcoming movie be attending pre-game tailgate events and performing at select games. These include Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Nate Parker, Elijah Kelley, Tristan Wilds, Leslie Odom Jr., Michael B. Jordan and Gerald Mc Raney.
Appearances are scheduled as follows:

Dallas Cowboys vs. Buffalo Bills at Cowboy Stadium. 10:00 am PST on CBS with Terrence Howard and Gerald Mc Raney.
— San Francisco 49ers vs. New York Giants at Candlestick Park. 1:15 PST on FOX with Elijah Kelley, Nate Parker, and Tristan Wilds; National Anthem performance by Elijah Kelley.
— New York Jets vs. New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium on NBC with Cuba Gooding Jr., Leslie Odom Jr., Michael B. Jordan and NFL Hall of Famer Lynn Swann.
