The annual Hollywood Christmas Parade welcomed many stars of music and television. One of the stars riding in the parade was actress and singer Jenifer Lewis. Lewis represented the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens for its debut in the Hollywood Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 1, 2013. Lewis, a long-time enthusiast for the Zoo, will rode in the “Dusty Rhino” art car, a vehicle created to call attention to the endangered status of the world’s dramatically dwindling rhinoceros population as well as to the symbiotic relationship between species.
Lewis has appeared in more than 300 films and TV shows. She was recently seen in “Baggage Claim” and can next be seen in “Think Like A Man Too” and “The Wedding Ringer.” For six seasons, she portrayed “Lana Hawkins” on “Strong Medicine.”
The Hollywood Christmas Parade will have a premiere run on Hallmark Channel (between December 10 – 15) along with an encore run on Hallmark Movie Channel the following week. In addition, this year the parade will air on over 350 stations nationwide the weekend of December 22nd. KTLA will air the program on December 20th from 8 to 10pm.
