“Sesame Street” moves to a new neighborhood this season as the long running show leaves their first run home seen on PBS for the past 40 plus years for a new fresh half hour format on HBO. All of the show’s favorite characters are back, including Count Van Count, Bert and Ernie, Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster and Abby to name a few. In the show’s debut Season 46, Episode 1: “called Bedtime Story,”While sleeping over Elmo’s house, Abby learns how to change her bedtime routine to help her calm down before bedtime. Tracee Ellis Ross, the star of ABC’s “black-ish” guest stars.
Some of the changes to “Sesame Street” include 30-minute episodes, new preschool-relevant themes, new show opening and closing songs, an updated set, a new segment called “Smart Cookies” and a new cast member, Nina.
Episodes will also be available on HBO On Demand and affiliate portals.”Sesame Street” content continues to be available to PBS KIDS viewers on weekdays and Sundays on local “Sesame Street” stations, and on the PBS KIDS Video App. Season 46 episodes will begin airing on PBS KIDS next fall.
