The 2016 BET Awards were held Sunday night in Los Angeles. The color of the night was purple as the show paid tribute to the late Prince with multiple performances through out the night. Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson and Shelia E were just some of the artists who performed songs by Prince.
Jesse Williams received the Humanitarian Awards for his work on civil rights and actor Samuel L. Jackson received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Other memorable performances included Beyonce featuring Kendrick Lamar, Alicia Keys and Usher.
