The Hair Nation Festival is set for Saturday, September 17 at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, California. The event sponsored by Sirius XM will be hosted by Eddie Trunk. The line up includes, Vince Neil, Bret Michaels, Yngwie Malmsteen, Slaughter, KIX, Lita Ford, Vixen, Britny Fox, Bullet Boys, Faster Pussycat, LA Guns’s Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns, Junkyard, Vain, Tuff, Bang Tango, Pretty Boyd Floyd and Enuff Z’Nuff and more.
The all-day festival line of heavy metal artists all hit the scene in the 80s or early 90s, and continue to tour all over the world to a loyal fan base.
SiriusXM will broadcast performances, as well as backstage interviews with artists, from the festival on SiriusXM’s Hair Nation channel, via satellite on channel 39 and through the SiriusXM app on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com. The broadcast will air the weekend of September 24.
Lita Ford is one of the performers at the festival. The singer and guitarist was a part of the all girl band “The Runaways” in the 70s, best known for songs “Cherry Bomb”, “Queen of Noise” and “Hollywood”.
Ford has been a solo artist since the 80s releasing several albums and hit singles “Kiss Me Deadly”, “Close My Eyes Forever” a duet with Ozzy Osbourne. Ford was out of the business until returning to the scene in 2009 album “Wicked Wonderland.
Ford is touring across the world in concerts, promoting her new album and autobiography “Living Like A Runaway”.
