Oscar spotlight: Diane Warren talks Oscar nomination for Best Original Song for ‘Marshall’

Diane Warren has received her ninth Oscar Nomination. She is nominated with Common for Best Original Song for “Stand Up For Something”. Warren wrote the song with Common who performs the song with Andra Day. The song is from the movie “Marshall” which is a biopic about Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall.

Warren has one of the longest careers in the music industry. Her three-decade career includes 15 Grammy nominations, nine number-ones on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Her success includes writing hit songs from Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”, Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me”, Lee Ann Rimes’s “How Do I Live” and Toni Braxton’s “Un-Break My Heart.”
