Mark Hamill receives Star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame on Thursday, March 8

Today, Mark Hamill was honored with the 2,630th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the El Capitan Theatre with special guests Harrison Ford, George Lucas, Billie Lourd, Kelly Marie Tran and “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” director Rian Johnson. Thousands of fans came out to celebrate the event which happened on #JediDay March 8.
Born in Oakland, California, Mark Hamill did guest appearances on multiple TV series and television movies, including a nine-month stretch on “General Hospital.” His first feature film was in George Lucas’ “Star Wars.”
Best known as Luke Skywalker in George Lucas’ original “Star Wars “trilogy, he recently returned to the role in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and in Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
His film credits include “Corvette Summer,” “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back,” “Sushi Girl,” “Kingsman: The Secret Service” and the upcoming “Brisby Bear.” Hamill also directed and starred in the cult mockumentary “Comic Book: The Movie.”
He also returned as the Trickster on CW’s “The Flash,” a role he first played in the original CBS series.
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is coming home digitally and via Movies Anywhere on March 13 and 4K Ultra HD™ Blu-ray, and Blu-ray disc on March 27.
