CBS’s iconic daytime drama, “The Young and the Restless” is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year. The Emmy-winning show has had A-list roster of alumni that launched their carers on the drama including Katy Perry, Eva Longoria, David Hasselhoff, Shemar Moor and Vivica A. Fox.
Fox appeared on CBS’ “The Talk” to discuss her new book “Everyday I’m Hustling.” During the interview, Fox credits her big screen break with “Independence Day” after being discovered on “The Young and the Restless.” “The producer’s [Bill Fay] wife…was at home pregnant and saw me on “The Young and the Restless”…and she said, ‘I recommended Vivica Fox’ and six auditions later, I got it!” Fox also reveals some other benefits to being on the hit CBS hit soap. “Kissing Shemar Moore, that was butterscotch kissing!”
The actress also talked about her very public feud with ex 50 Cent. She talked about where her relationship stands now with the superstar after the couple had an open feud last year. “He’s in the book, he’s part of my life…In my opinion there is not any feud anymore. We got peace,” says Fox. “I’m not feuding with him. I wish him continued success.”
