The ARDYs: A Radio Disney Music Celebration” (for the past six years known as the “Radio Disney Music Awards”) held their annual awards ceremony over the weekend.
The event, which was hosted by Sofia Carson, was held live in Los Angeles for the first time and broadcast on The Disney Channel.
The ARDYs celebrate the biggest and rising stars in music, television and movies and created an event designed to inspire and entertain today’s families. The night’s honorees were Avril Lavinge and Korean super group, BTS.
Lavigne took to the stage to perform a medley of her hits before accepting her award. BTS, who are in the middle of a sold-out world tour, recorded a special and answered fans questions before thanking their “ARMY” for helping them receive the Global Phenom Award.
