American Idol announced the Top 16 on Sunday, April 11th. During the episode, the 16 contestants from the Top 24 who advanced to the next round are revealed and performed for America’s votes. On Monday April 12, the Top 12 will be revealed live. First, the Top 10  contestants with the most votes will be announced. The remaining 6 contestants will perform for a chance at one of two spots picked by the judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan.
