‘General Hospital’: Sprina’s New York weekend inspires song

Fans of Sprina (Spencer and Trina) from “General Hospital” finally had the moment they’d been waiting for. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) headed to New York City for a romantic getaway and make love for the first time.

On the memorable date, they go to the theater, followed by a romantic dinner where Trina lets Spencer know that she is in love with him. Spencer tells Trina that he has loved her since the very first day he met her. A montage of flashbacks clips of scenes of their relationship is shown.

Spencer and Trina skip dessert and head back to their hotel. Spencer arranged for rose petals to be across the bed as they entered their room. Spencer and Trina make love for the first time.

A song plays during the love scene. Sprina trended across social media days prior to these scenes and continued throughout the weekend. Not only were fans excited about them finally being together, they wanted to know the song that was being played.

Becky on Twitter posted that the song might be an original sung by Daena Jay who used to collaborate on songs years ago from the show.
Music Supervisor Paul Glass replied “You are right! The song for Trina & Spencer was HERE AND NOW by Daena Jay and Bobby Hartry.
