CBS has set January 2025 premiere for its new daytime drama “The Gates.” The specific time period, launch date and other series details will be announced at later dates.
“The Gates” follows the lives of a wealthy Black family in a posh, gated community. Michele Val Jean, who has written more than 2,000 episodes of daytime dramas and won multiple Daytime Emmy and WGA Awards for her work on “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “General Hospital,” will serve as executive producer, writer and showrunner. The news comes as CBS’s long-running “The Talk” makes a bow in December.
