The cast and creatives of CBS‘s hit comedy “Young Sheldon” got together at PaleyFest 2024 to celebrate the success of the series now in its 7th and final season. Moderated by series co-star Melissa Peterman, the audience was treated to a fun Q&A panel, stories of onset experiences and got a sneak peek at this week’s upcoming episode.
Attending the panel were Iain Armitage (Sheldon), Zoe Perry (Mary), Lance Barber (George Sr.), Annie Potts (Meemaw), Montana Jordan (Georgie), Raegan Revord (Missy), Emily Osment (Mandy), Peterman, and series creators and executive producers Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland.
Phyllis Thomas of TVMusic Network was on the Red Carpet before the event and talked to the cast about the series end, what they will miss about the show and also to get their thoughts on the spin-off series featuring Georgie and Mandy.
Check out our conversation with series creators and producers Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland. The men share their thoughts on the series ending and answer our question about when to decide if a comedy series will be a single camera or a multi-camera in front of a live studio audience. The group is the brainchild behind a number of series including “The Big Bang Theory,” “Bob Hearts Abishola,” and more. Next up for them is a spin-off series focusing on Georgie and Mandy. The Georgie and Mandy series is scheduled to begin production for the fall 2024 – 2025 season. “Young Sheldon” airs Thursdays on CBS. The finale episode of the series will air May 16 for special back-to-back episodes.
