The International 3D Society Awards honoring achievement in the 3D in Beverly Hills.
“Hugo” (Paramount Pictures) was the big winner getting several awards, including: Best Live Action 3D Feature, Best Stereography – Live Action, and Best 3D Moment of the Year.
Awards were also presented to: “The Adventures of TinTin” (Paramount Pictures) for Best Animated 3D feature, “Puss In Boots” (DreamWorks Animation, DWA) for Best Stereography – Animation, and “The Lion King” (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures) for Best 2D to 3D Conversion.
“Hugo” director Martin Scorsese received the Society’s Harold Lloyd Filmmaker Award.
“Our theme for the night was ‘art form.’ Our honorees demonstrated that 3D is coming of age as an artistic statement, as well as technical marvel,” said Society President, Jim Chabin.
