The live three-hour season finale of “American Idol” was held on May 11th. America crowned Hannah Harper from Willow Springs, Missouri as the next “American Idol.” Jordan McCullough was voted runner-up, while Keyla Richardson finished in third place.

Harper is the first female country artist since Carrie Underwood who won in Season 4. McCullough was the runner up and Richardson finished in third place.
During the finale, Harper performed her original songs “String Cheese”, “Married Into The Town” and “At the Cross (Love Ran Red), She also performed ” No One ” by Alicia Keys, plus a group number with McCollough and Richardson of “The Champion”! by Carrie Underwood, a duet with singer Lee Ann Womack of “I Hope You Dance”. The top 3 finalists performed with “Lovin U” with Alicia Keys.

The star-studded evening featured mentoring from Alicia Keys, with a special group performance by judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood. Underwood also performed alongside Mötley Crüe; and additional performances by Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms, Cameron Whitcomb, Clay Aiken, En Vogue, Jason Mraz, Lee Ann Womack, Luke Bryan, Nelly, Shinedown and Tori Kelly.
