'The Voice: Tessanne Chin named season 5 winner, star-studded finale included Celine Dion and Lady Gaga

Jamaican singer Tessanne Chin was named the winner of “The Voice: Season 5.” Chin, a former background singer for Jimmy Cliff, was a member of Team Adam and competed in the finale along side fellow Team Adam contestant Will Champlin and Team Christina singer Jacquie Lee.

Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, NE-YO and OneRepublic performed. Gaga performed “Do What U Want” as a duet with Christina Aguilera. Dion pulled double duty, singing in a duet with NE-YO on the song “Incredible” and also shared the stage with Chin.

After Chin was announced as the winner, she sang her new single, an original song written by OneRepublic founder Ryan Tedder, who serves as the shows new in-house songwriter-producer.The Top 20 vocalists of the season returned to perform songs with the finalists.

Season 6 of “The Voice” with Adam Levine and Blake Shelton with Shakira and Usher replacing Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green begins February 24th on NBC.
