Malaya Watson was eliminated after receiving the fewest votes this week. Watson performed “Through the Fire” by Chaka Khan on the “80s” themed performance show.

“American Idol” airs Wednesdays and Thursdays on Fox. Next on the show, the theme will be “Competitor’s Pick.” Each finalist will select a song for their fellow finalists to perform. This will leave each singer with a list of six songs and they will choose one to perform.
The Top 7 finalists are C.J. Harris, Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, Alex Preston, Dexter Roberts, and Sam Woolf.
