Pharrell Williams helps launch Apple Music with single 'Freedom'

Pharell became the first artitst to let launch the brand new streaming service Apple Music with the release of his new song, “Freedom.”  

The composer of the Oscar nominated “Happy” is currently working on Season 9 of “The Voice” along side coaches Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
Pharrell Williams was instrumental in coaching Season 8 contestant Sawyer Fredericks win the entire competition. 
Apple can under fire for initially not paying royalties to artists who music they would be offering during their trial period. 
They idea was quickly halted when Taylor Swift wrote an open letter to the electronics giant stating her objection.
