‘Secret Life of Pets’ ain’t afraid of no ghosts, tops weekend box office

The weekend box office no longer belongs to the humans as animals and ghosts are taking over. “The Secret Life of Pets” was the number one movie in theaters this week raking in an impressive $50 million dollars at the box office. The animated movie about what man’s best friend does when no one is home, beat out the all female “Ghostbusters” reboot which came in a close second with $46 million. Rounding out the top five were “The Legend of Tarzan” at #3, “Finding Dory” with $11 million and “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” starring Anna Kendrick and Zac Efron with $7 million.
