‘The Young and the Restless’: check out classic video interviews with the cast to celebrate 11,000 episodes

The Young and the Restless” aired its 11, 000th episode today, Thursday September 1 with an episode that was not only explosive but touching as well as it highlighted the show’s strengths – family loyalty, love, friendship, redemption, trust and forgiveness. The show marked its 43rd year on air in March.

No spoilers here, (okay, here’s one tidbit.) The show’s co-creator, Lee Phillips Belll, made a cameo special guest star appearance on the episode as well as “Star Trek”television icon Nichelle Nichols. Nichols plays Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) long lost mom.

For the rest, you’ll have to catch the encore broadcast of the #1 daytime drama on POP or visit CBS.com but in the meantime, check out some classic interviews that Daytime TV Examiner, Phyllis Thomas,  has conducted with the cast over the years.
