‘Will & Grace’: breakout comedy returns to NBC

NBC announced today that the popular hit comedy “Will & Grace” is back for a 10-episode limited run during the 2017-18 season. the network announced at the Television Critics Association’s press tour on Wednesday.

The show’s entire cast and crew are back – creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, executive producer Jim Burrows and the Emmy-winning stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally will return.

The show, during its tenure, won more than 16 Emmys and was a Thursday night favorite to television audiences around the world. More than 18 million people turned in for the show’s finale in 2006.

Viewers will remember in the series finale Will and Grace were on the outs and were reunited when their children met in college.

Talks to revive the series began after the cast reunited to film a PSA announcement encouraging people to vote in the most recent election.
